For the final time operated by DRS, the Southampton - Scotland and vice-versa "Boat Train" is seen passing Shawford on 15th December. At the front was 47810 "Peter Bath MBE 1927 - 2006" while tailing was 47501 "Craftsman"; the train was 1Z92 Southampton Western Docks - Edinburgh. It is believed that DBS Class 67's will take over the running of this service.

Northern Belle Pullman duffs 47832 + 47790 head 1Z69 Edinburgh - Southampton Docks Cruise train through Dorridge on the 16/11/11. Closely followed by 66731 dragging two 508's from Donnington to Eastleigh. (508203/508305). It was booked into the loop before Dorridge, but arrived early and was sent straight through. It passed Dorridge 18 early.
A trio of DRS loco's were to be seen on the 'Cruise Saver Express' on the 13th May 2012. Seen on the East Coast Mainline heading north past the Offord's in the afternoon. DRS Class 37's, No. 37602 (leading) with No. 37259 are seen double heading with DRS Class 47, No. 47810 'Peter Bath MBE' trailing at the rear. This working ran from Eastleigh to Edinburgh under reporting headcode 1Z77.
The Cruise Saver Charter from Edinburgh Wavely to Southampton Central 1Z81 passes Manors (Newcastle) with DRS Class 47 No 47818 in front on 20th July 2012. DRS class 47 No 47802 was on the rear the train.

On Monday 3rd December 2012, DRS' 47828 and 47853 "Rail Express" worked one of Cruise Saver travels Boat Trains into Southampton Central. If what is seen on WNXX is to be believed, then this could be one of the last few to operate. The train was 1Z91 Edinburgh to Southampton Central.
On October 30th 2016 we flew with Etihad Airways from Manchester to Abu Dhabi. This was our first time flying with Etihad and here's our trip report. Arriving at Manchester's terminal 1 we headed to Etihad's check in area located in the far corner of the terminal. The check in process and queuing was very simple and straight forward with a dedicated line for online check in. Etihad's customer service desk was located opposite the check in and was very smart and modern. After check in and security we headed through to the airside terminal which had a great variety of shops and food outlets. We then began the long walk down peir charlie to stand 30.
